Virtual Classes
Classes will be conducted using Zoom and we will send you the link once you sign up. We are also offering ZOOM parties.
The sessions will be led by the Tucson Clay Co-op head teacher Maxine Krasnow.
You can buy 5, 12 1/2 & 25 pounds of clay on line as well as 20 pounds of recycled clay - we will offer outside pickup. To make an appointment to pick up clay after you have paid on line, text 917 705 3803).
We will not resume classes in the studio until it is safe to open again. In the meantime, this is an opportunity to do creative work at home. For millions of years, people have hand built and pit fired, and now we can learn from the old ways.
Mask Making Tues 4pm (Virtual)
Mask Making class for kids & adults, Tuesday 4 pm
A fun project to do with the whole family.
Class will end either when everyone has finished their mask, or if students decide to work on masks, later, phone consultations available if you have questions
Creative Clay: Beginner Wheel Throwing & Hand Building Friday 6 pm (Virtual)
If you do not have a wheel you can rent one from us. (if one is available) If you buy the clay from us, we will bisque and glaze your pots and you may glaze in our backyard by appt. There will be a wheel and hand building lesson every week. Wheel students are invited to have an in person private lesson in our back yard, so I am able to correct any centering mistakes you might be making. Hand builders are invited to use our slab roller and extruder by appt. When you pick up your clay, you will also receive a free kit of white, red, and black clay to use for your neriage and melifliore lessons. All students are encouraged to call me in the middle of the week if you need help with techniques.

Saturday Night Clay Party
These are extraordinary times, pre pandemic we did "try wheel throwing in the company of friends." Now you can hand build gifts or anything you want for your home, each in your own homes so you are safe. No limit on how many people attend. Someone should swing pay for $15 for 20 pounds of recycled clay (or 2 bags etc) and you can divide it among yourselves. Firing & glazing $5 per piece except for ornaments which will be less depending on size.
